Inter Milan midfielder Lukas Sucic spoke about Wednesday's derby against Milan in Perth and also praised his national teammate Luka Modric.

Although Wednesday's match against Milan is just a preseason friendly, fans always expect a high level of intensity when Inter Milan and Milan clash.

Sucic said: "Of course. We are facing our old rivals, and it will be a Milan derby, so it will definitely be special, even if it is just a friendly or a preseason game. The intensity of the game will be very high. We are training very hard, and the result may not be the most important thing, but of course, you always want to win the game."

You just returned from the World Cup, and today you're welcoming your national team teammate Modric. You've been teammates with him and played against him before, so what makes him so special?

Sucic said: "Everyone knows that he is one of the best players in the world over the past 20 years and has won the Ballon d'Or. For us Croatians, that is the highest achievement. He is our idol, and we admire him very much, but now we are rivals, and I will try my best to beat him."
